How does our payement system work?
At EdenVentures, we wish to make our projects accessible to everyone. Therefore, we offer a means tested payment system.
In reality, a fully costed place per child is £125. However, through grant funding, we are able to offer subsidised places for every one of our participants
Our pricing system is as follows:
Fully waged: £115
Low waged: £80
Benefits: £10
Referral places: Free
We also offer a discount for sibling groups where one child is paying either £115 or £80.
Anyone wishing to pay below the ‘fully waged’ price must contact EdenVentures before submission of the booking form.
What happens in bad weather?
We monitor the weather closely and follow a detailed risk assessment to make sure the site is safe. Most conditions are manageable on our site, but if we believe the weather is unsafe, we will contact parents and carers as early as possible to cancel the day.
How does the overnight work?
Children aged 9+ are welcome to join our Thursday overnight stay. We eat dinner together, enjoy time around the fire, play games, and offer an optional night walk to explore the woods using our night vision. Staff are present throughout, and children sleep in tents they set up with support.
We also recommend that children and parents chat during the week about tent arrangements. Some participants feel more comfortable sharing a tent with friends, and agreeing this in advance can help everyone settle in more easily.
What happens on Thursday afternoon?
On Thursday afternoon, instead of finishing at 4pm, we invite parents, carers and family members to join us on site for around an hour. Children can show you the space, share what they’ve been working on, and demonstrate some of their new skills. There’s sometimes even a short play!
If your child is staying for the overnight camp, this is also an opportunity to bring their camping kit and help them set up.
Can my child attend for just one day?
While we don’t offer the option of signing up for just one day on our sign-up form, in some special circumstances, we may consider this. Please get in touch to discuss further.
Why am I being asked for photo/video consent?
We ask permission to take and use photos or short videos for promotional materials and to provide evidence for future funding.
